Indiana Members Foundation Awards $63,000 in Scholarships and Grants

Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union, recently awarded $63,000 in scholarships and grants through its Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program, Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grant, Terry Renick Legacy Golf Grant, and the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program. 

Indiana Members Foundation awarded the 2021 Scholarship and Grant recipients individually this year at Indiana Members Credit Union’s headquarters.

Indiana Members Foundation Awards $2,500 For Ron Collier Family Collegiate Scholarship Program

Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), along with Indiana Members Credit Union, is excited to announce Katelyn Sadlon as the recipient of the Ron Collier Family Collegiate Scholarship Program, receiving a $2,500 scholarship.  The Ron Collier Family Collegiate Scholarship Program is available to Senior students attending New Palestine High School that are members of Indiana Members Credit Union, intending to study full-time at an accredited college or university. Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through March 31. 

Indiana Members Credit Union President and CEO, Ron Collier, donates $2,500 annually to Indiana Members Foundation for the scholarship for a New Palestine High School Senior.

Collier is a long time resident of New Palestine, and his three children all graduated from New Palestine High School.  His oldest daughter, Ashley, is a teacher at Sugar Grove Elementary and her sons attend Sugar Grove.  After graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, he went on to teach at Noblesville High School.  Collier has been with IMCU since 1985 and became President and CEO in 2003.  Indiana Members Credit Union continues to grow under his leadership, reaching $2.9 Billion in assets in 2021.

Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program, Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grant, Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program, and the Terry Renick Legacy Golf Grant. 

Indiana Members Foundation awarded the 2020 Scholarship and Grant recipients individually this year in front of their high school, alma mater or organization, in lieu of its annual awards banquet, to maintain social distancing.

Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program, Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grants, Terry Renick Legacy Golf Grants, and the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program.

The Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program was established to honor Robert E. Martin for more than four decades of dedication and service as a board member of IMCU as well as his commitment to education throughout his career as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at Indiana University Purdue-University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).  The scholarships are available to college students that are members of Indiana Members Credit Union.  Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through March 31.
