Indiana Members Credit Union delivered 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to local students on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. The backpacks were were given directly to benefiting schools and organizations served by Indiana Members Credit Union.
Indiana Members Credit Union received assistance with delivery of the backpacks from Enterprise Car Sales representatives, John Ferraro, Group Car Sales Manager, and Gerald Bayse, Service Agent. Enterprise also donated a 26 foot box truck to help deliver the backpacks.
Indiana Members Credit Union employees, volunteers and Pacers point guard, George Hill, helped packed the backpacks on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at its stuffing event held at IMCU’s headquarters.
Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union, donated the backpacks and school supplies.
This is the 11th year for IMCU’s Backpack Stuffing Event and will make over 26,500 backpacks filled with over 675,000 supplies that the Indiana Members Foundation has provided to children in Central Indiana through generous donations from vendors, members and employees.
“IMCU was founded on the campus of IUPUI over 58 years ago, and is passionate about supporting the education system and helping children succeed in school,” said Mandy Emery, vice president of community involvement for IMCU. “One way we can do this is by putting the tools necessary to succeed into their hands. We are extremely grateful for all of the support received from employees, members, vendors and community volunteers who donate their time and effort to give back to those in need.”
