IMCU GIVE BACK Contest Awards a total of $24,000 to local nonprofits


In celebration of Indiana Members Credit Union’s 60th birthday in 2016, IMCU hosted the IMCU Gives Back Campaign awarding $6,000 to nonprofit organizations each quarter in 2016. The $24,000 went to organizations that serve Health (quarter one), Education (quarter two), Veterans (quarter three), and Homeless/Basic Needs (quarter four).  IMCU highlighted the quarterly category on its website where the public voted for their favorite nominated organization. The organization that received the most votes was awarded the $6,000.

In total over 50,000 votes were placed during the IMCU Gives Back Campaign.  The following nonprofit organizations were the recipients of the $6,000 donation:

Quarter One Winner – Health Related Category:  St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild


St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild raises funds for Eskenazi Health primarily through the Decorators’ Show House & Gardens.  For more information please visit:

Quarter Two Winner – Education Related Category:  GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis


GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis, Down Syndrome Achievement Center is a place to meet new friends in a safe environment, as well as to provide the opportunity for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to grow, develop and network.  For more information please visit:

Quarter Three Winner – Veterans Related Category:  InteCare, Inc. 


In 2013, InteCare was awarded a Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) grant from the Department of Veteran Affairs.  The purpose of the SSVF program is to promote housing stability among very low-income Veteran families who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing.  For more information please visit:

Quarter Four Winner – Homeless/Basic Needs Category:  The PourHouse, Inc.


The PourHouse assists individuals experiencing homelessness in overcoming barriers to housing, treatment and healthcare.  Through community-style street outreach and a unique peer advocacy approach, they help people define and achieve their goals and reestablish vision for their lives.  For more information please visit:
